It was a sunny Sunday in May 2013 when Georgia was nagging for having to go to work on a Sunday. That was out of the ordinary and she wished for a relaxing and quiet Sunday but that was not the case for that day. It was mother’s day and she was asked to be at Georges restaurant to promote a special promo that she designed for all mother’s attending on the day.
On the other hand, on the same day, Andrew was also in a work mode at one of his shops somewhere at Balgowlah and was running late to join the family lunch in honor of his mother at Georges restaurant....and that’s when it all started. On a mother’s day at Georges restaurant where Georgia was not supposed to be at work on a Sunday and Andrew being late but managed to make it for his family Mother’s day lunch.
After our meeting on that day, it took us 2 weeks to finally find a time that suited us both to meet and go out. Our first dates were interesting, and were the type of dates where two very mature and independent people were discovering each other with amazing conversations about life, trips, dreams and visions, and treating their tastebuds with delicious wine and food.
It didn’t take us a long time to realize that these dates that had just started looked different than any other dates in the past. The dates became weekends at Georgia’s place in Marrickville and then weekends at Andrews’ place in Manly where the love, appreciation and respect for each other was growing rapidly and was bringing up to the surface wonderful unprecedented feelings that we both felt for the first time.
We both knew where these dates were taking us in a very short time. There were taking us to an incredible life journey where we were blessed to live. These dates were creating a magical bond between us that were making our lives as singles less interesting and were becoming the inspiration for a future together and the motivation for a lifetime change. Suddenly our desire to spend more time together was a priority and our love became a necessity. We both knew that what was happening between us was the beginning for something major as everything else seemed minor and little.
We got engaged on Sunday 15th December where Andrew took Georgia for a walk to a beautiful place and asked her to join paths in life. There was no surprise though as the journey had started from day one and the 15th of December was just another reason to celebrate the fact that they were so lucky to have actually met! The wedding in Santorini was also decided on the 15th December and we both look forward seeing you all there to celebrate once again the beginning of our common journey in life

Santorini is simply magical and there are many things for you to do and enjoy your time. Depending on your mood Santorini can offer everything! Here are a few recommendations on what to do while you are on the island.
A magical small port below Oia that can offer a swim below the caldera and taverns with fresh fish. Park your car and walk down to the port. After walking along the dust road at the very end of the port to reach the small beach with the cliffs, you will be rewarded with diving into the deep waters and swimming below the caldera, above the sea bottom chaos (here there are no sunbathing comforts etc). Then go to Sunset tavern for fresh fish and sea dishes and wait for the sunset. The sun vanishes behind Thirasia and from this spot you have the sunset with the longest duration! Ammoudi is a must see!View in Google Maps
Nowhere in the world is there anything similar -and this year it opens to the public for the first time after six years. Visiting Akrotiri is like travelling in time. Walk around the streets and squares of a pre-historic city of 30.000 inhabitants(!), admire the elegant mansions and high finesse of the 17th century B.C.

Choose packages that include visiting the Volcano and Thermal Springs. It will be an experience of a lifetime! There are several excursions for all budgets for you to choose and one thing is for sure:Having the view of Santorini while on board is surely an experience that you should no way miss!If you choose to go on a semiprivate excursion with a catamaran I highly recommend to book with Spyridakos yachts. They are simply the best!Santorini Yachts Santorini Cruises Santorini Volcano Tours
Although the sunset at the Oia Castle is the most famous on the island, it is surely not the only one –and not necessarily always the best! You can admire a spectacular sunset at Fira, Firostefani and Imerovigli (I recommend seeing it from Skaros in Imerovigli)! In order to get a different angle of the sunset having the whole of Santorini in the frame, you should go to Faros in Akrotiri, where you will be almost alone. Another option is to choose Profitis Ilias (Pyrgos), one of the highest spots of the island, or Vlihada beach, where you will be fascinated with the volcanic scenery changing colour nuances as the sun sets.
I am sure you don’t want to miss a black sand beach which is a unique phenomenon worldwide! Santorini has beautiful beaches for you to swim and spend the whole day on relaxing day beds drinking cocktails and being served on the beach! Go to Perivolos and Perissa beach a 5km long black sand beach and choose one of the beach bars to sit, relax and enjoy your swim. I recommend Anemos beach bar at Perivolos, Wet stories beach bar at perissa and if you are in the mood for a bite you can go at Dychtia tavern (the nets) for Greek traditional food or at L’Opera Di Costa for the most delicious Italian on the beach! Another amazing beach you should visit is Vlychada. The scenery there is completely different where the white sand has created huge sculptures with amazing shapes the beach. Visit theros wave bar at Vlychada and stay till late and enjoy the sunset! Simply magical! If you wish to crab a bite at Vlychada then go to "To Psaraki" taverna at Vlychada port. One of the best spots and the best sea food on the island!
You can’t go back home without visiting one of the wineries to try the Santorinian wine! You will be fascinated by the history and the way the wineries are cultivated in the island and amazed how the volcanic ground can produce such uniqueness in grapes and flavours. We recommend you to visit the wine museum at Koutsogiannopoulos winery and live an amazing experience! If you want to see more then we recommend you book a wine tour with Vaios form wine tours Santorini. He will take you to a semi private tour with 8 more people and you will see 3 different wineries, have wine tasting in each one of these wineries and walk along the Santorinian vineyards.Santorini Wine Tours Koutsogiannopoulos Wine Museum
The best place for you to stay in Santorini will be a spot on the caldera. Our wedding will be at the church of Anastasi at Imerovigli village, and the traditional Santorinian party we are organizing on Friday 29th August will be also held at Imerovigli square. Therefore we highly recommend you to book a hotel around that area so you can have easy access to the church and activities and enjoy spectacular views of the Caldera cliffs.
